Las Vegas, an amazing city know for it’s bright lights and gambling halls.   But it is also one of the most diversely beautiful places I’ve gotten to visit.  From desert landscapes like those in Red Rocks Canyon to water sports at Lake Meade to the famous Strip.  This picture is from a series of pictures taken at night in the heart of Las Vegas Blvd.  Make sure to check back soon for the entire series.

Contemplation is the first of a two – set companion piece entitled “Contemplation and Meditation” taken on hike through Red Rocks Canyon on the outskirts of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert.  When you mention Las Vegas to most people the think of the famed Las Vegas Strip.  Most people miss the breathtaking beauty of the area around the city, especially in the desert.  Red Rocks Canyon is one of the largest hiking areas in the Vegas area.  Breathtakingly beautiful, the park varies from the amazing red rock formations you will see in the second gallery, Meditation (coming soon to MJF Photo) to the mountains and sequoia cactus located around the park.  I highly suggest to anyone visiting the Las Vegas area to check out Red Rocks Canyon.
