Downtown Savannah as the sun is setting.

After spending much of the past several weeks sorting, viewing, editing, sorting again, viewing again, and whittling down, I’ve been able to find a nice collection of some of my favorite pictures from my recent trek with the Mentor Series to Savannah Georgia.  The problem with this trip is that I found I love so many of my pictures that I’ve decided to show just a small variety here now, but I will publishing complete galleries from the various shoots over the next weeks and months.  I hope you enjoy viewing the pictures as much as I did taking them.

Meditation is part two  of a two – set companion piece entitled “Contemplation and Meditation” taken on hike through Red Rocks Canyon on the outskirts of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert.  When you mention Las Vegas to most people the think of the famed Las Vegas Strip.  Most people miss the breathtaking beauty of the area around the city, especially in the desert.  Red Rocks Canyon is one of the largest hiking areas in the Vegas area.  Breathtakingly beautiful, the park varies from the amazing red rock formations you will see in this gallery to the mountains and sequoia cactus located around the park.  I highly suggest to anyone visiting the Las Vegas area to check out Red Rocks Canyon.

This picture is from the series “In The Past” taken while driving through the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, which is one of the most beautiful areas of the US.  The complete gallery is coming soon to MJFPhoto.com!

This picture from the set, Rush Hour, New York City,  was taken towards the end of my walk as almost an afterthought.  As things often do, this has become one of the most favorite pictures that I have taken. Click here if you want so more information on this shoot.

This gallery contains pictures of one of my cats, Rogue, who sat perfectly still allowing me to move all around her why I took closeups of her from all different angles.  Almost like a human model, she only moved when she sensed I finished with a pose.  It was a remarkable shoot of a remarkable friend.
